This page includes the history of the robotics club (obviously).

{{note|Some years may seem inaccurate, but this is because the team orients its history around when the [[FRC]] season actually is. Hence, in the school year of 2009-2010, it is our [[2010]] FRC season, thus the team calls it [[2010]]. Events in a year are also fixed to this system, such as a fall event which occurs in the 2010 season, while in actuality, the calendar year that the event happened in is 2009. ==Foundation==
In [[2004]], [[Brandon Adams]] founded the robotics team along with [[Diane Cass]]. Mrs. Cass had traveled from Oklahoma where she had been on a previous [[FIRST]] team. In conjunction with Brandon, his parents, and Mrs. Cass began to lay the foundation for a [[FIRST]] team. Somewhere along the line [[Paul Burrell]] came to help improve the robot. [[Gwen Albers]] came after Paul to point out that the robot needed spirit.<ref>"The Beginning of Robotics" by [[Paul Burrell]].</ref>

==Team Name==
In [[2004]], Team 1261 was registered as "B<sup>3</sup> - Break, Build, Believe". The name "Robolions" was the first name suggested by [[Gwen Albers]] and a few other members. Although they thought the name was "cute", the guys on the team quickly voted the name down.<ref>[[Matthew Newcomb]] said this.</ref>

The name Robolions was later suggested by [[Kanav Jain]] to be the permanent team name.

We're participating in [[VEX Robotics Competition|VRC]]like last year.

===Peachtree Ridge VEX Qualifier===
Peachtree Ridge is holding a VEX Qualifier again, like last year. The competition should be much larger though, due to more teams entering the game.

===GRITS===
We'll be going to Warner Robbins for the GRITS competition which is an FRC 'fun' competition, which serves as a way for freshman and newbies to learn how FIRST games work.

Samir is a strong-willed guy who helps design the [[Robolion Website|team website]] and adds content along with pictures.
He works at Camp Invention every year and helped in connecting the team and the camp at Mason Elementary in the summer of 2009. He intends to do this every year he can.

He has a brother, [[Kanav Jain]].

==What Got You Involved in the Team?==
Camp Invention all the way. Kanav and the rest of the team showed our camp back in 2005 what it meant to be in a robotics team, and it sure seemed exciting.
Lego Mindstorms was also an influence.

==Who is Your Role Model?==
The Tank Man of Tianamen square. Not much to do with Robotics, I know, but he's got the guts to say what he wants to say. I always want to be able to speak my mind and I want others to be able to speak their mind, freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.

==What are Your Future Career Plans?==
I'm hoping one day I could work for companies like HP, Dell, Google, and others like those. I would love to be the creative designer of products or software.
