[Mr./Ms. Recipient]:

I am writing to you on behalf of the Peachtree Ridge High School Robotics Club. To explain who we are, Robo Lions Team 1261 represents a diverse group of high school students inspired to pursue their passion for STEM studies through robotics. Our team competes in both VEX Robotics and FIRST Robotics programs year round. In addition to competing, we mentor five elementary and middle school robotics programs in the Peachtree Ridge High School cluster. The Robo Lions team also supports local communities through robot demonstrations at sports competitions, parades, and other events.

High school extracurricular programs such as ours as well as those in sports and the arts receive limited financial support from the governing school system. As a result, fundraising activities and corporate sponsorships account for almost 95% of our operating budget. This budget covers materials for robot construction, competition entry fees, and travel expenses for local, district, and national competitions.

While many organizations may seek financial donor ship from (insert their name here), the Robo Lions present a unique partnership opportunity. Your support ensures that the Robo Lions program will continue to cultivate critical leadership and educational opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for local high school students. Enclosed is a sponsorship packet which details the different tiers of financial support (insert their name here) may be able to provide to our 501(c)3 charitable organization.

Please visit www.prhsrobotics.com to learn more about the Robo Lions. The business team would be happy to meet with you to discuss the potential support of (insert their name here). We would also like to invite you to the school for a hands-on demonstration of our competition robots and our t-shirt robot.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Sincerely,

[insert name of team business executive here]

Vice President of Business
