These are guidelines for any and all pages that are created for our website. They should be abided to provide a painless experience for our readers.
Guidelines
- Pages should have a short, but understandable title that provides the user with idea of what the page itself holds.
- Any long text should be broken up into several short paragraphs.
- Text should not vary in color.
- Text can vary in size and boldness to provide emphasis or to create a header title.
- Any images placed in pages should be uploaded to the PRHS Robotics server.
- i.e. No hot-linking (no including a image which is not hosted on our server)!
- All image should be the appropriate size that doesn't modify the style of the site in any negative way, but still provides a pleasurable viewing experience.
- i.e. Putting in a large image in a page that causes the page to extend larger than the user's browser causing to have a horizontal scrollbar or forcing the style to cope in a way.
- Images should also be the appropriate file size to provide a fast page load. If a larger or more detailed image is needed, add a link to larger version of it.
- Images have the option to, but are not required to have a link to the larger version of it.
- Pages should be grammatically correct and be looked over by another designer before being published on the live site.
- Pages which are subject to change year to year, should be monitored closely to keep them up to date.
- Pages should not allow comments on them. This guideline should apply to all content if it can be so applied.
These guidelines are subject to change at any time without notification.
