The VEX Robotics Competition is basically the same as the FIRST Robotics Competition though with a few differences. While also smaller, VRC is cheaper to build and participate in. Robots made out of VEX components are much smaller than a typical FRC robot. That being said, it is a great way to involve students who have never built a robot before, allowing them to get up close and personal to the robots they design and build. It promotes cooperation, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
