RoboWiki is a single wiki focused on recording information about the FIRST team 1261 - the Robo Lions.

Due to the lack of members to moderate the wiki 24/7/365, registration and editing to the wiki is closed to Robo Lion members to make sure that the information contained within the wiki is true and correct.

Requesting an Account

If you are a member or an alumnus of the robotics team and would like an account on RoboWiki, please follow the following steps.

  1. Create an account on the Robo Lion forums.
    • If you already have an account, there is no need to create a second one.
  2. Create a post indicating who you are, what your email address is, and that you would like an account on RoboWiki.
  3. Wait until a RoboWiki administrator sees your post.

Another method to request an account is to get in contact with one of the administrators on the wiki directly. You can do this by contacting one of them listed here.

Administrators

RoboWiki administrators, your job is to ensure that the requesting member is a valid member of robotics and is up for the job of editing the wiki.

Once the the user is "authenticated", follow the steps below to create their account.

  1. Go to the special page Special:UserLogin.
  2. Click "Create an account"
  3. Fill in the captcha
  4. Enter the username, email, and real name of the user requesting the account.
    • For the username is it nice to have it reflect the user's real name in someway for easy identification. For example if a user's real name is "John Doe", acceptable usernames are "JohnD" or "DJohn". Variations may exist. However, a username of "crazykid01893" is not acceptable as it has no identifiable features and is unprofessional.
    • Do NOT fill out the password fields.
  5. Click the "by e-mail" button.
    • This will send the user their username and a random password of which they can use to access RoboWiki.
