Daniel Li is an involved member of the robotics team that likes to observe and contribute to all aspects of the team and not just one aspect.

What Got You Involved in the Team?

I was in robotics in middle school, but my friend, Jason Wu, was excited about robotics during freshman year and convinced me that high school robotics was just as if not more fun than middle school robotics. So I joined and was hooked immediately.

Who is Your Role Model?

My role model is Elon Musk. A successful entrepreneur, he gets people to think outside of the box and to persevere through goals in spite of the obstacles we are bound to face, because that's how we achieve and innovate.

Also, Kat Li because she's the best 'sister' ever (she's not actually my sister).

What are Your Future Career Plans

Though my future major and career are undecided, I am committed to better society and the world through innovation and hard work especially in the fields of science, technology, and the environment.

Interests or Hobbies

I love playing and listen to music in vocals and instruments, and I love to challenge myself with math problems. I enjoy playing logic puzzles and games and writing creative, expository, and editorial pieces.

What Other Groups/Clubs Are You Involved In?

I am an active member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and Future Business Leaders of America.

What Are Your Dreams In Life?

I wish to improve the planet environmentally and intellectually, no matter what career path I choose. I hope I become a worldwide influence and make as many people happy as I can.

Favorite Robotics Moments

When we won Peachtree Regional 2012, the excitement was surreal and my heart was thumping at a blazingly fast rate. To win a competition adds to the already-amazing experience of participating in one.
