This page is about building a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) pulse oximeter.

A pulse oximeter is a device which indirectly measures a persons oxygen saturation and changes in blood volume. The changes in blood volume can be used to derive the person's heart beat, thereby leading to the derivation of their beats per minute (B.P.M.).
