Mary Rutland currently teaches Chemistry at Peachtree Ridge High School. When she was 13, she wanted to be a teacher, a veterinarian, or own a pet shop.

Her favorite moments in robotics are whenever the team is working hard and laughing.

Mary Rutland's favorite robot is Longshot, because "it was way cool to see the ball go flying and then be scooped up."

Mary Rutland enjoys the game "herd the cats/students" while building the robot. She also likes Overdrive from 2008 as well.
