Scouting Lead

The Scouting Lead is a competition focused role in charge of managing and expanding the team's scouting efforts. Their job includes collecting and organizing quantitative data as well as gathering qualitative observations to evaluate teams past raw numbers. The Scouting Lead is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining the team's scouting application and ensuring that the data collected is reliable and useful when selecting alliance partners. In addition, this role works to establish and maintain connections with other teams across the district and around the world, helping facilitate collaboration and information sharing during competitions.

Job Requirements

• Reviewing and organizing collected scouting data so it can be easily used for match strategy and alliance selection
• Communicating relevant scouting insights to the drive team during competitions
• Managing updates and improvements to the scouting system throughout the season
• Establishing and maintaining connections with teams within the district and with teams from other regions or countries
• Coordinating the scouting team to ensure matches are consistently and accurately recorded
• Preparing summaries of team performance to assist with alliance partner selection
