The field for Underdrive was built out of a lot of PVC glued together in sections that could be disassembled in panels and pushed back together to form a full field in one-third scale of course. The panels stood quite a bit higher than the typical [[FIRST Robotics Competition|FRC]] field walls, but this was just to make the design simple and cheap while still keeping game management down to a simple form. The panels were covered in Polycarbonate instead of Plexiglass as it proved to be stronger and better.
