Fall Activities
VEX Robotics Competition
Georgia Robotics Invitational Tournament and Showcase
The team went to Warner Robins Air Force Base for the second annual Georgia Robotics Invitational Tournament and Showcase competition. The team won two awards: the winning alliance award and the Outreach Award for the greatest number of new members to the event.
Peachtree Regional VEX Qualifier
Peachtree Ridge will hold a VEX Qualifier event this year. The event will be a large-scale competition due to the high number of teams.
FIRST Robotics Competition
Game
This year's game is LOGO MOTION.
Robots
This year the robot was designed and CADed by Sunny Gupta. It featured a 6-wheel drive and an elevator capable of scoring on all three pegs of the scoring rack. In addition to a main robot, the team also built a minibot.

Regionals
In 2011, the team attended Peachtree Regional and Smoky Mountain Regional
Peachtree Regional
After adding a last-minute deployment system for the minibot, the robot worked well with some programming issues early on. Luckily, the programming issues were ironed out by the end of the first match day. The team encountered problems with autonomous alignment and minibot deployment. However, the robot successfully deployed 5 times during the regional.
The team made it to the Finals with 3149 and 1648. The winning alliance was 2415, 1771, and 2815.
The team's final ranking was 4th out of 48 teams with a record of 11-6-2. The highest scoring match was 72.

The team won Engineering Excellence Award and Finalist Award at Peachtree Regional.
